    Do you mean archaically as in ''happy and full of life''? Archaically - no, in the UK they were probably sad because people put them in jail. Now - depending on where you live it varies, but UK is pretty good for LGBT rights or at least where I live so yes, I'd say gay people are ''happy and full of life'' here.

    If you mean in the modern day sense of ''homosexual'' then yes, because it's synonymous.

    Not sure if links, but there's a youtube video asking ''are gay men more masculine?'' - I haven't watched it but thought I'd tell you if you're interested.
