Lawless Galaxy

Im retrying this R.P.

This is a sorta Scifi futuristic R.P.

Its the year 2515 and interstellar travel is commonplace. Goods and people of all species are transported all the time. However, interstellar space is a dangerously lawless place.

Several regions in the galaxy exist, Each system within each region has variations in their laws. This sometimes cause different systems and even entire regions to go to war with one another.

The lawlessness found between systems has created a haven for pirates and privateers. To make matters worse, the galactic economy has been swinging up and down quite heavily, and is now become stuck in a rut. Work is hard to find, and those that have work are underpaid, and over worked. The wealthy are becoming ever more greedy and demanding. It has gotten to the point that the pirates are doing better than many common workers.

The whole galaxy is like a cross between the wild west and the open sea.

My Characters

Name: Maluon and Zanten

Age: Maluon: 21 Zanten: 23

Gender: Male

Sexuality: Gay

Species: Kaltiri

Appearance:

Maluon: Tall, 8'6", if he were able to stand. Bound to a wheelchair. Long Tortoiseshell hair, tanned, has copper eyes and pointed elf-like ears. Wears plain clothes, usually cargo shorts, a tshirt and work boots.

Zanten: Tall, 7'9". Medium length "blue" hair, fair skinned, has green eyes and pointed elf-like ears. Wears casual clothes.

Personality:

Maluon: Shy, quiet, doesnt talk much. He tends to keep to himself and it is very difficult for him to make friends. Much of his past was very traumatic and he doesnt talk about it to just anyone. Suffers from depression.

Zanten: More outgoing, and open, he can be a good friend. He is always able to figure out when something is wrong with Maluon, and gets very upset when someone messes with him.

Transport owned: Very large Star freighter named Ryukin, a name it got from a type of fancy goldfish.

Occupation: Formerly long haul goods transport, now unemployed

Other details: Maluon and Zanten are married.

(Yes you can. The Kaltiri are a race of beings i made up. They are easily distinguished by pointed ears, being very tall, and their hair and eye colors are very similar to those found in cats.)

Maluon and Zanten were in the far corner of a space tavern away from everyone else.
The space tavern is in orbit around Earth's moon. A few humans from earth had tried to run them off for no valid reason. Maluon had his head down on the table, and Zanten was trying to calm him down.

 

Maluon didn't look up as Zanten held on to him a little. Zanten looked around at the place a a whole. not really noticing Gray was looking back at them.

 

Zanten noticed Gray approaching them, but didnt say anything. He somewhat knew the person approaching them was not an earth human, so he didn't feel the need to get upset.

Maluon still had his head down.

 

Zanten didn't reply, he just stood up and rolled Maluon in his wheelchair, and they followed Gray out of the tavern.

 

Zanten and Maluon made their way behind the tavern, where they found Gray waiting on them.

Maluon quietly asked Zanten as they went behind the tavern. "What's going on?"

All Zanten could do was wonder. "I have no idea."

 

Zanten replied to what Gray had said. "Its not like we could if we wanted to, especially since my partner cant even stand."

Maluon looked up from his wheelchair at Zanten with worry on his face.

 

"Yea. we do. Its one of 2 shuttles from our star freighter." Zanten said has he pointed to a close by ship's tender.
