Describing your life ATM with one similie

my life right now is like a winding road with a bunch of those signs with the curved arrows that show you what kind of bend is next, but you never imagine quite what the bend will actually be like by looking at the sign. You have to find out when you are pedal to the metal flying around it, yet somehow you keep driving.

My life is like 50 different signs all pointing different directions, and me not knowing which direction is the way to go, or if any more will open.

 

My life is like a big dark hall full of secrets waiting in the dark, waiting for some one to turn the lights on and reveal them all.

My life is like the subjunctive mood. Almost always completely necessary, but unavoidably overshadowed by its own independent clause. Frustrating sometimes, but rewarding when you finally get used to it.

My life right now is like someone's who has a bunch of exams she should be studying for but somehow ends up on EC instead. Is that too literal? Darn... My life is like a train that is about to crest a really long hill but has run out of fuel and is running on fumes...

It looks really pretty from the outside, all nice and happy, but when you actually get in the water you notice all the jellyfish floating around and sharp seashells at the seafloor. And the way the water behaves is always unpredictable, usually either really calm and sloshy or with storm-like crashing waves. Lately it's been...murky.

 

My life is like a greyhound behind the gates on race day, dancing and yipping and waiting for the door to open so she can just RUN. The time is not now, no. But it is soon. And then? Then she will fly.
