    no... not another one...

    2.

2 is my favorite number. The base of binary algebra. The somewhat magic numbers computers are based on.

    I'm weird. I remember the images of f(x) = x^2 for x natural, -13 < x < 13 ; as well as the images of g(x) = 2^x for x natural, -21 < x < 21.

2 is the smallest prime number - 0 and 1, although commonly classified as prime sometimes, do not fit the conditions imposed by most definitions of prime numbers.

It is the third number in the Fibonacci sequence, where each number is the sum of the previous two.

No vulgar fraction (that is, numerator is an integer) with a denominator 2 yields an infinite expression.

    2 is the only number for which: n+n = nxn = n^n (2+2 = 2x2 = 2^2 = 4)

    2 is its own factorial (2! = 2)

It has many other properties, too complex and boring for the general public.
