The title pretty much explains what the thread is, but this is how it goes.

    The Rules:

All you have to do is name the person who says the quotation from the post above, and then put down a quotation for the person after you to name. It has to be someone who can be identified, famous or fictional(if it is fictional, put the character's name as well and where they are from) or anything else like that.

    So here I go:

"Everyone loves a slinky, you gotta get a slinky. Go Slinky, Go Slinky, Go Slinky Go!"

Ace Ventura! From "Ace Ventura: when nature calls"

Hmm, next quote. I'm feeling in a literary mood today...

"There is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about"

Easy one : The Picture of Dorian Gray, Oscar Wilde

Next quote is a philosophical one :

Act only according to the maxim by which you can at the same time will that it would become a universal law

Immanuel Kant. To be honest I had to look that one up. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I love this one, slowly working to memorise the entire thing. . .

Hahaha I too am studying Hamlet. Haha. Unfortunately after years of studying his various works my fondness for him has dwindled. . . >.<

This one has popped up several times in several different mediums, but I want the original source of this. :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I'm 99% sure that was Hudson in Aliens.

One of my favourite book openers:

    "The story so far:
In the beginning the Universe was created.
This has made a lot of people very angry and has been widely regarded as a bad move."

You know you are supposed to put a quotation down as well?

That would be Mr. Bill Gates. (Who i had to do two reports on for computers class, bleh.)

"Why tell anyone? Why lose everything when it can just be your little secret? You see, it was different for me. Everyone could tell who I was from the start and it didn't make my life any easier. I've been beaten up, cursed at, spit on, ignored... but in a way it was worth it. Because I have never had to live a lie and I'm not about to start now. Not for you, not for anyone."

  14. Correct. Family Guy has it, too, in the New Year's episode, but only because it's spoofing Aliens.

Just a side note, i think the point of the game is to be more specific in who said the quotes, like more than just the show, just something to keep in mind  And this game is too easy to solve with google, IMHO

    Princess Diana. Awesome Quote.

"Science is more than a body of knowledge, it is a way thinking, a way of skeptically interogating the universe with a fine understanding of human fallability."

    This thread is fun .

I had to Google this one. It's Queen Elizabeth II.

"Life is dear to the mute creatures as it is to man. Just as one wants happiness and fears pain, just as one wants to live and not to die, so do other creatures."
