The idea is to write a poem using the word given by the previous author. I'll just give a word first, then take it away poets!

    first word: sincerity

    Sincerity brings me Clarity!

[Question for th OP-ElvenVampiress, how many lines(versus) does the poem have to be? Or are we creating a 'massive' poem, with each person writing a line???]

length depends entirely on the writer. part of the fun is that the only rule in tghis game is the word must be used somewhere in said poem

    ---------- Post added 16th Dec 2011 at 10:21 PM ----------

definately not one large poem since the next person to write will be giving the person who takes up the challenge the next word for their piece and so on

    Sounds fun!

    Let's see...twisted, twisted...Got it!

    Spin me in a web,
    Wrap me in the cold,
    Put your arms around me,
    You better not let go.

    Yes, this is twisted,
    Maybe a little insane,
But this is too much fun,
    Let's keep playing this game!

    Closet

    Taken from the window
    Left out in the rain
    Shoved into a closet
    Never just the same
    One step left
    Another right
Can you see some end in sight?
    A single rose
    A briar vine
Can you keep the perfect time?
    Write a new beginning
    Another pithy end
    You take up the glory
    When you grasp a pen
    Movement through the shadows
    Love in light of day
    Kisses in the meadows
    Wars' own bloody ways
    You never know whats comming
    You cannot see whats there
    When you pull a story
From just one tuft of air
    Take us to tomorrow
    See us through today
    Gives all the freedom
    Of just one single day
    Hope for some adventure
    Lust for something more
    Than just this empty closet
    Behind the closed stone door.

Way to show me up! I mean that in a joking way. But you did! Yours is really good. This person here is jealous :roflmao:

    Furrow:

    Toss back my words,
    Throw back my lines.
    No need to say the truth;
The look on your face is fine.

Shove me back to the start,
Hurt me like all the others.
    I should have seen this coming;
You acted as if I was a bother.

    Furrow your brows,
    Go ahead and act clueless.
    You were never a good actor;
You always left behind a mess.

    Watch as I turn away,
Watch as I don't look back.
    The tables have turned;
I'm the master of this pack.

    (This one sucked!)

    What is Happiness, I ask
When I'm lost in the dark
I can't even see the light
    I'm giving up the fight

A shard of hope drops down on me
I think I can be free
Through the mud and sticky mire
The Lord lights my soul on fire

And now I struggle to survive
    Outside the collective hive
    Of oppressive society
But I'm happy to know I'm finally me

    See

    Do you know?
    Can you see?
Picking up gthe shards of me
    Slivers here
    And pieces there
    Flashes showing everywhere
    Turning tides of sorrow
    Hoping that tomorrow
Will bring so way to put them back
Where at first they started at.
    Running through the darkness
    screaming through the day
Trying to find some kind of peace
to keep the world at bay
    Collecting writhing shadows
    And seeking for some light
Can you reach out a tender hand
    To give some small respite
    Delving through garbage
    The tossed aside of time
    Hoping to find treasure
    Beneath the writhing grime
    Can you see tomorrow
    Hoping for today
    Can you know the past
    And still walk away
    Who will see the darkness
    Held with the light
Who will stay and hold them
    Through the longesgt night
    Never so we really have
    The time we've counted on
And in the end the answer is
    We still continue on
    So those who can
    And those who might
Will make this world a better place
Their way prepared by few of us
    The last true Sacrifice

I tried to fight against you
    But you disarmed me
    Every weapon I brought up
    You dashed to the ground
I no longer have the will to fight
    Do as you will
    I'm walking away now
    Swallow your bitter pill

    Is it wrong?
    Maybe so...
    I dream of sinful things
    That will probably never be.
    Is it so wrong?
That's what everyone seems to say.
    If I utter a word,
    Just a single word,
    They freak out.
    Is it wrong?
I refuse to belive it is.
So I want to feel her body against me,
So I want to be with her and finally feel free,
So I want them to understand that, hey,
This mixture of emotions I feel,
Is here to stay for every passing day.

    Is that supposed to hurt?
I used to care what you think
But now I know what you are
    Liar
    Pathetic
    Bitch
Is that the best you can do?
    You can't hurt me anymore
Now I know what you are

    If loving you,
    Sends me off to hell,
    To the flames I'll be immune;
    Because while I'm being burned,
    The price of the sin,
I'll be remembering how this was earned,
And I'll end up in Heaven.

    I wear a happy smile
    While you scowl
And I'll admit it isn't happiness
That makes me grin when you're around
    It's rather more vindictive
    I know that its true
    I want to get payback
    I'm no better than you
