(This happend a few years ago)I was watching tv with my sister then in tv they showd gay pride in Brazil , then she was like : Do you know why there are so many gay men in Brazil ? Me : Nope She : In Brazil there are alot of poor people , because of that alot of women sell them selfs and become prostitutes then the men have it hard to find "pure" woman and they dont want to be with prostitutes so they turn gay. Now that I remeber back I laugh at it. So , why do people turn gay ? (Funny things that you have heard or people have said to you)
that's the whole argument. there are some that say it's genetic which there is no conclusive proof of and some that say that it's various kinds of trauma in your life that leads a person to it; this can be subjective as well. it's a great question and personally i think it's worth listening to all the perspectives, doing some exploration and not letting bitterness or resentment get ahold of you if you disagree with the "other" side of the story. that can be poison. let yourself grow and learn and keep your heart free
One of my friends told me that gay guys are most often the product of overbearing mothers. I corrected him rather level-headedly. When I came out to my mom, she asked if it was because I didn't have any good friends when I hit puberty. I explained that it was more likely the other way around.
Many turn gay to avoid turning 40. Or to avoid turning short. Myself, I turned gay to avoid turning Christian. Seems one way or another, it's always about avoidance.
I turned gay because they were offering cookies that week. Low-fat cookies, that were still very delicious.
I tried being normal, it sucked But really, I didn't 'turn' gay...long time internal struggle that I just came to terms with and accepted me for who I am...
A wise 13-year-old girl once told me: "Every time there is an awkward silence, a gay baby is born." I think that just about wraps up the discussion.
