    Does anybody else aside from me listen primarily to music that is unpopular? Is it never played on the radio? Do your friends refuse to listen to it? Are you ashamed of these facts, or proud? :thumbsup:

    Well, here's your chance to present your love for the unpopular music you listen to for the public to hear! Get a kick out of freaking out the "normies" ^^ give your brothers/sisters of unpopular music more to listen to, or maybe, just maybe, open someone's eyes to the strange!     I love unpopular music and I'm very proud.
    I've only very recently gotten to understand and appreciate some popular music, partly because where I work the radio is on and I've been forced for 2 years to listen to the worse garbage but now I'm used to it and even like some.

    I get funny looks because of the music on my ipod/phone so when people ask i never show. Never ever. only janviers seen the contents of my music ^^

    hehe I love my music that others hate. Well, mostly everyone I know hates it. Mainly Fall Out Boy (I can't stop listening to them, hehe I am right now lol) and Panic! at the disco. Whenever I say I like them I am met with a chorus of boos lol and I am proud ^_^

    How is ANY type of metal unpopular? That doesn't make sense.

    I think Behling hit the hail on the head with "music people will hate". :grin: I don't know how people like whiny vocals.

    You don't like 'whiny' vocals, some people don't likke crushing guitars, double bass drums, and roaring vocals.
    Like the harmony of Jazz, the power of Classical, the beat of Techno or the groove of Funk, some people just don't like the energy of Metal.

    Exactly. It'd be boring if everyone liked the same things.

    You shouldn't assume everyone will like or hate the same sort of music as you.

    The term "popular" with music would imply that it has sold a decent amount of CDs or downloads. For example you may hate Cliff Richard or Elton John but you cannot deny that they are popular because they sell LOADS of CDs.
