Mini OCD

I don't like my foods to touch- my veggies can't touch my potatoes, nor can they touch my main course. I don't freak out if they do, but I try to prevent it.

I can't mix cereal types. If I only have half a bowl of a certain type (flakes, O's, or other) I have to fill it up with another cereal of the same shape, or go back for a second half bowl.

 

things in place. groups of things sorted and straightened. no unhealthy germs. can't touch dirty sponges or raw meat when cooking. will sometimes count things...so many more.

 

Well now I'm thinking of food! I eat my food one at a time. For example, I always eat my fries first, then I eat my burger/sandwich. Ummm, I can't stand it when people don't use the correct form of "your/you're."

 

I count everything I see.

Okay, in fact I have OCD, so I will post my obsessions one by one :icon_wink

 

I sometimes count when I'm waiting, but just when I'm alone and never out loud. :icon_redf

 

Ditto. I always start on the side dish before hitting the main course. And bad grammar bugs the hell out of me- especially they're/their/there, and your/you're. I can't see why people make those mistakes.

I found myself counting each item I threw in the dryer last time I did a wash, and I have no idea why. It's not like I counted what I put in the washer.

Also, I like things to be aligned, facing the same way, and in some sort of order.

 

I tend to count steps of stairs as I ascend or descend. Dora would be proud

 

- I have to stare at my wallet to make sure my debit card doesn't fall out
- I have to stare at my backpack to make sure the zippers are done up
- I have to stop everything I'm doing to touch my earrings and just hold them
- I have to turn the dial on my school lock numerous times until it feels "right" before I can unlock it.
Mmm. My life is fun.

im reeeeeally weird lol.

i cant eat anything off of someone elses spoon that they have used, even a girlfriend/family. it makes me go all dsbahjgj. i cant eat something that someone has taken a bite out of, it has to be the other end/a bit where they havent touched. im weird about that idk why haha. and straws, i cant use someone elses straw i have to get my own when sharing a drink.

im just weird with germs lol.

oh and idk if this counts.

but when i pick up a basket in a grocery store/any store really and i go in for what i want and they dont have it or only have a few things i wanted i cant walk to the till with only a few things in my basket, i have to buy more to make it more 'full'. i cant walk and put the basket back either if they have none of what i want and just walk out, i rack my brains and just pick up random stuff till its 'full' enough for my liking (mostly about 7/8 items) then go to the till. ive lost so much money through that, i cant help it though haha.

i could go on all day, im just an oddball.

 

I went to the bookstore today to read some manga, and I stopped reading for about five minutes so I could straighten out one of their bookshelves so the books were put away properly. I can't stand seeing books not treated right- that includes writing in them and dog-earing them so you memorise your place.

 

I organize dishes by smallest to biggest and then lightest to darkest. I tend to do the same with books but more emphasis on color. I have to shower in a certain order.

Funny thing is that I have nothing for food but that's probably because I love food and tend to like mixing it. I will also finish my friends food even if they ate off of it and I will finish a friend's drink.

 

I'm obsessed with perfect grammar. Everything must be perfect, every sentence, every punctuation, every capitalization,... I don't allow any mistakes. If I ever make one, I will edit it till it's perfect.
Since the site only allows you to edit your post within 15 minutes, there's one mistake that's been killing me.

 

I cant leave the house unless I know all the doors are shut
