One write a Haiku 5 syllables 7 syllables 5 syllables Next person responds with a tanka 5 Syllables 7 Syllables 5 Syllables 7 Syllables 7 Syllables (Correct me if I'm wrong please, I have a feeling that isn't right) Then you write a new Haiku to be responded to by the next poster. I'll start. Broken flower fall grounded he shall lay so still This winter is cold. :eusa_danc have fun!
You cheeky bastard Just write a Tanka to match the Haiku above. Just write what you think my little blurb means to you (in form of a tanka). *Shrugs* It's just for fun. Like the Limmericks thread only Japanese
Tanka is the response to a Haiku. The syllable format is the same it's just longer. So it's like I write a Haiku about anything and then you write a response poem to that in tanka form 5 7 5 7 7 So Tanka's are like your writing the second part. So if I wrote about a dog You could write about the tricks he knew.. Get it?
