Right, so I don't have a ton of information on this, but I figured ya'll might be interested! My friend Kira (MTF) came up to me today freaking out and happy for the first time in weeks! Apparently an experiment done in Sweden turned out successful, and it's BIG! YA'LL READY FOR THIS?! 6 women born without uterus-es (and one trans I think) volunteered for a medical experiment to each have a uterus surgically implanted inside them. The doctors merely wanted the uterus to hold and not fail, but apparently the experiment went above and beyondeusa_danc) as two of the women are currently PREGNANT! Big news! Whooo! Go science!!(!)
Womb Transplants: Swedish Doctors Successfully Implant Donated Uteruses Into 9 Women The first babies from womb transplants 'to be born next year' | Mail Online None of them were trans and I don't think any of them are pregnant yet. And the wombs will be taken out after a max of two pregnancies cause they're on anti-rejection meds. All in all, after reading the articles, it seems really risky and shit. But that's just me saying is all.
I heard about that story. None of them were trans. Pretty fascinating stuff, but definitely not something I would ever op for.
Once I become a full time female like after I get the sex change. I would DEFINITELY opt for that. I would like to be the first trans to have a baby.
This may sound insane but I mean it. One of my biggest dreams is the act to give birth. That's something I always wanted to do.
