I got my referral for hormone therapy and my gender on my drivers liscense changed!!!

    So, today at therapy, my therapist not only gave me a referral, she also put the paperwork in for a change in my gender marker on my license since I have to renew it soon! I'm so excited right now! I would be jumping around everywhere if I did not get run over by the men's basketball team yesterday...

    Also, I heard back from my hometown workplace, and they are totally ok with everything. We are going to come up with a plan for me to come out to the entire store sometime soon!

    So, a lot of progress has been made in the past 2 days!

    How did you get your gender marker changed? In MI they won't let me change mine without a proper birth certificate which according to the state of CA requires that I have surgery.

    Thanks everybody!

    My therapist filled out a paper called a "Deceleration of Gender change" and sent it to the Ohio bureau of motor vehicles. It just says that I have been seeing my therapist and that she is endorsing my gender change on the license. I'll then have paperwork sent to my house in 7 to 10 days and I have to take that when I get my license renewed in a week to 2 weeks.
