I came out to one of my coworkers weeks ago, and he seems to be really supportive. Today, he said, "Jade, I couldn't take you seriously if you were a girl. I can't see you carrying around a purse and wearing a little spaghetti strap top and booty shorts. It's not you."

Just felt like sharing. This made me feel pretty good.

Bonus point: He's a Christian, and since I told him that the terms "he-she", "tranny", "she-male", and "it" were all derogatory terms for a trans person, I've never heard them out of his mouth again.

Aww! That's awesome! I love it when people say things like that! I get that a lot from my friends, they just cannot see me being feminine. It feels good when they cannot see you being feminine.

It's great, isn't it? I look at guys like Lucas Silveira, Buck Angel, and Balian Buschbaum, and I can't believe they were born female. I would ask myself how people could look at them and say they're not real men, and I dreamed that someday, I could be like that. I thought it was impossible, but I guess it's not that far off.

That's awesome, and I think it's super-cool that you explaining to him that certain words are derogatory has made him realise his mistakes and fix that. Nice one
