Tons of good news!

    Hello all you kick ass rainbow people.

    Just wanted to share some good news. I have taken care of two big problems today. One was an ingrown and infected toenail. It gets that way off and on, so I asked them to just take the whole thing off. I am a total wuss but she let me play music while she did the surgery which helped tons. It hurts lots but I have painkillers and video games.

    So the other big news, I am starting HRT! It has been a long time coming, the biggest obstacle was just no health insurance. Oh man I can't describe how my heart skipped a beat and that phone call just turned my day around. I forgot all about my foot for a while.

    Also I have a new job! It was a hard choice, one of them I disclosed about being trans but it was a little less what I wanted career wise, so I picked the other one. But they seem really cool there and I don't anticipate problems. The whole it's not a big deal for me, so it's not a big deal for other people. That I have found gets me real far. And I mean I wear lavender converse a lot, and I had pierced ears and shaved arms during the interview and sound pretty effeminate when I talk (OMG my voice is getting better too! Throat Coat tea is awesome) so it's not like it'll be a huge shocker or anything.

    Not too many people get to talk about toenails, therapy and a job all in one breath! lol
    congratulations on all three!

    The idea of "not a big deal" makes a lot of sense.

    I need to get the same done to my left big toe! It will randomly just get bad no matter the effort I try to make it not happen.

    Great news about the job and starting HRT, glad you've gave them the idea of it too, even subconsciously I am sure they picked up and that should make things go much smoother in the future for your transition during work.
