    Take mine.

    "HAAA...cho."

Gives me away as female voiced. So I suppress them if possible.

Ugh tell me about it...actually it's weird I felt so bad about my sneeze I've been practicing...turns out you can train yourself to do smaller, stupid sounding sneezes which are SLIGHTLY better than one massive nose-explosion.

I mean you really do sound like a complete dick for a while, but it's still better than nothing xD

Strangely though I have the girliest hiccups in the world.

 definitely. My dad knows both ways lol

Imagine trying to sneeze in a crowded theatre or during a concert of classical music. I bet you wouldn't be loud. Trying that could be a good start.

When I get the hiccups, people often wonder what in the world the sound is. Aparenty my hiccups don't even sound human. Given information I've revealed in other threads, maybe I'm not :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

You can train a lot of vocal actions aside from talking. Coughing, sneezing, yawning, throat clearing etc etc =)

For me, sneezing means I have to readjust my chest/binder. Very inconvenient.

For what it's worth, my mom sneezes like a hacking cough (Er, sorta like me), and my twin brother sneezes pretty quietly (At risk of sounding like a nerd, it sounds like the 2nd and 3rd hammer sound effects in Paper Mario). I think part of it at the very least is about suppressing the sneeze to an extent, maybe?

I actually loathed having to sneeze/cough whenever I was in public (pre hormones) because it sounded so feminine. I'd do stupid things like trying to squeeze my nose or attempt to hold in whenever I had to cough and I probably looked like such an idiot.

    This too. .__.

I'm actually kinda lucky here. I've always sneezed incredibly femininely. If I had to spell it out, it'd be kind of a "tchuu!" kind of noise. It's funny, I had a friend who used to say "You sneeze like a girl" almost every time I sneezed near him and that made me kinda dysphoric. Now that I'm out to him, he doesn't say it any more. Coughing however? I hate my coughs X___X

I don't think it's possible to cough in a feminine way...you ever heard a cis-woman actually cough? HACK HACK HACK!

I tend to have a wheezy sounding cough. But that's probably due to asthma. Even if I just inhaled some drink or whatever, it tends to trigger some asthma symptoms along with the regular coughing.

When I sneeze I sneeze in groups of six. And it looks like I'm head-banging to a scream o concert mixed in with a seizure. Dysphoric? Nah, it's embarrassing no matter what.

Pro tip for anyone trying to sneeze / yawn like a man.

If you can't fit your hand in your mouth while it happens, your mouth isn't open wide enough! Make like a lion and ROAR!

It's not so much sneezing for me as it is clearing my throat, which I have to do quite frequently if I talk in a lower register. It puts some strain on my throat. But when I clear it, it sounds very high-pitched compared to my speaking voice.
