I am currently in college, and was playing to come out next year. As a male to female transsexual. I was wondering if anyone had any advice on how to deal with a male roommate.
Does your college have a policy for trans* students? Gender neutral housing or what not? Do you already know your roommate? When I came out (my second year of college) when I was moving in I told them right then. I said "look, I'm transgender, which means ___, and I plan to be out this year. If any of you all have a problem with that I understand. But I need to know before I haul all my stuff up."
