I was checking out tumblr and found this video on lowering your voice if you're pre-t. I've been doing it as a test on skype with my fiance and he noticed a big difference.

A person replied to the thread with what the video contains in case tumblr goofs and won't play the video and a neat thing you can do on the side that can help.

I hope this works for some of you!

I remember that vid. Just so everyone knows, he said in another vid that he was like 6 or 7 months on T so.....

Not sayin speakin from your chest pre-T doesn't do anything. I've been doin it and yeah I sound a lot better.

Why it doesn't work for me? Could a deviation of the nasal septum (maybe I have that) make that voice excercise more difficult?

I've tried this but I felt like I just sounded congested, then someone asked me why I sounded "like a surfer" so I stopped.

Doing the milk thing I notice worked, but I forgot if the kind of milk has an effect on things (ex: whole vs 2% vs fat free etc).

It seems that I already talk in my chest voice. It makes it hard on my singing teacher though because I don't talk much in my head voice so it's pretty unnatural to sing that way.

It's really important to consistently talk in a lower tone as well, though, because my voice tends to get higher when I'm emphasizing something. I've got to work on just getting louder instead.
