This is an off the wall topic, but I'm curious to know if anyone has similar experiences or could relate.

Has anyone else experienced "phantom limb" sensations before? If you aren't familiar with the term, check it out. I've heard it being common with people who lost a digit or a limb like an arm or a leg and claim to feel sensations in the area of the missing appendage.

I'm wondering if anyone here has experienced something similar because I've experienced it a few times in the past four or so years and it's both the weirdest and coolest thing at the same time. It's hard to explain if you never had it before, but the simplest (and obvious way) to put it is the feeling of something that should be there being there but it isn't.

    Has anyone else experienced this?

Occasionally. Always during, ah..'Private time'. I've made more than a few aborted moved to grab it.

Yeah. Haven't really had these since I started packing (since it's kinda a stand-in for the phantom limb) but I'd have weird moments, not always when aroused, when I'd feel like I had something in my boxers. And sometimes, I'd even look down because it was like, I almost thought something was growing there.

I've even had mornings where I wake up and I don't realize there's nothing there until after I've had a chance to wake up. And then I panic because what the fuck happened to my penis and what's up with my chest?

Packing really helped. But gotta admit, had a few moments where I almost felt like I could feel through it.

I have, and I think I have since I was a kid, just didn't know what it was at the time. I also had this recurring dream where I actually was and amputee who'd lost that part when I must have been 5~6 years old which always left me upset.

I've had this before, and when I was a kid I actually thought I'd been mutilated at birth or something because I could sense something was wrong

I don't think so; phantom limbs are supposed to be painful sensations, right?
If I touch something the wrong way, I become hyper-aware of how wrong everything is. It's definitely dysphoria, but I wouldn't call it a phantom limb.

-My record for f*pping is about 30 seconds tops. I can't do it.
-Sometimes, I feel something weird down there; I don't think it's being turned on since it's not when I'm watching porn/seeing an attractive person or anything like that.

Yeah I've definitely experienced it. It doesn't happen often for me, but when it does the dysphoria really hits me hard.

^ Okay, there's definitely a twitchy/itchy thing, and it's not arousal, so... maybe I do have a phantom penis (as strange as it sounds, it seems more likely now).

Sort of. Not really phantom limb but more like my body wants to act as if it's there anyway. My hips and pelvis have an innate need to thrust. If I was a dog, I'd be humping everything.

I have one. I sometime blush randomly in public and I need to remind myself that no one can see... So embarassing...

Glad to know I'm not the only one who has... even if most of the people here experience it "on the other side of the fence" as it were lol

Oh yeah I feel it, especially when feeling really dysphoric. But usually only top, never bottom (unless i'm really deeply asleep:sleep:slight_smile:.

After my surgery there was a long adjustment process. All the nerves down there had been moved to different locations, so it takes a while for the brain to adjust. Interestingly I can now have an orgasm without touching myself at all, which is something that I could never do before. There was a lot of sensation where there was not anything for a while. I could feel little electric shock sensations as the nerves adjusted. After about a year everything settled down.

Maybe not "phantom limb," but definitely feeling like there should be something there.
