To any of you who have been through voice 'femme' surgery or training what are you thoughts on the subject. Is it difficult for you to sound female?? Easy? Does it get easier with time? Or is it a constant struggle just to sound the same gender as you "edit: *are*" and appear to be?

If asking this is in any way offensive, my apologies (ahead of time).

    No offense taken!

I've always had more of a "feminine" voice I guess. I only hear masculinity and it annoys the crap out of me. Once hormones kick in (first appointment on the 20th!) I'm hoping my voice will change to where I feel that it should. Until then though I use a lighter version of my falsetto, that doesn't sound fake, when talking on the phone. In person I use my regular voice but it STILL annoys me.

Unfortunately, hormones don't do much for you girls voice-wise. But vocal training does!
