Transitioning while staying in the same profession?

    I'm wondering if anyone out there could share experience you've had with transitioning while working in an established career?

    The work that I do is pretty much all I know (money-making wise, at least), so it's what I'll want to stay with during and after transition. But I have no idea yet how I'm going to get from Bill-the-programmer to WillowRose-the-programmer.

    Like I said, I'd love to hear about anyone else's experiences with this.

    Well, I'd only started my current job for two weeks when I told my managers i was actually trans. It was fine and no one really cared about it to be honest. Most hadn't learnt my name yet xD It was weird telling ppl i used to work with in other departments, but they've all been fine with it.
