I have realized that if I picture myself with a girl, I am female-bodied and when I picture myself with a boy, I am male-bodied. What do you think that says about me?

Maybe you prefer the mechanics of homosexual relationships.

I'm the exact opposite. Not sure at this point if I will be able to return to my life as a male. But if I do, I can nearly only picture myself with a female. By contrast, conceiving of myself as a female, it's difficult to see anyone but a male by my side.

Guess I'm all kinds of STRAIGHT? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

Maybe it means you wish to connect with someone on an equal level?

'm MtF but when I think of myself as a woman, I want to be with a woman. In male mode, I can imagine either. Mostly women but by not exclusively. A few years ago I was going out with a woman and instead of my cross-gender feelings softening, they intensified.

Yeah this is true. First things first though. I identify as asexual mostly so this is not a sex thing. It's just what appeals to me aesthetically. With a female partner I can see myself as either male or female. With a male, however, I would definitely have to be male.

i'm kind of the opposite. as a male i am more open to relationships with girls (as in gender is much less of a factor). but when i think of myself as a girl, it's almost exclusively guys.

seems pretty common, from the responses here.

It's pretty common from what I have heard talking to people. I think a lot of us really get turned on by the sameness between ourselves and whoever we are with.

I think I personally had too many hang-ups with my being male bodied in the bedroom to really know if this would be me. As is, any experimenting I did with guys was always an uncomfortable failure, and anything I did with girls focused more on her than me. But now that I can be more female this definitely describes me when I'm with a woman.

I also hear the opposite coming from straight people - a lot of people that really liked straight sex pre-transition, really like straight sex after, if they liked women as men before, they like men as women after.

Of course there's the whole rainbow out there, I have talked to quite a few like myself that preferred the same sex before as after - I started out liking girls, and I'm ending up liking girls. But yeah, generally that switch in attraction you are talking about, very common among trans people and one of the reasons it pays to keep an open mind.
