As I told my therapist last night, I have decided to transition. I know now that it is what I need to be able to live my life with some degree of happiness. (It's going to be a slow-going, work-in-progress, too. I'm not the type to move really fast with big changes.)

With that in mind, I thought it about time to start deciding on a middle name for myself. Audrey for the first name really goes back to childhood, but have never really thought about a middle name. At present, it's my dad's first name, and although it's going to be, in some respects, bittersweet dropping it, it really is not appropriate for a female name.

What do you guys think?? Do my pics scream out any particular middle name to you? I'm really at a complete loss.

Oh, all due respect to Tris, Rose is out. :rolle:

Good question! I'm really bad with names... :3

Maybe something the connects with your heritage, I think a lot of people pick names that way.

I have no heritage so far as I know, lol. It's a pretty boring family.

After all, maybe would prefer to come up with something completely new, so the path I'm forging is unique to me in my family.

Hmmm, hard without the last name.

What about something like Michele or Marie? I also like the sound of Jane with Audrey for some reason.

I'm of the opinion that if you are choosing your own middle name you should have the opportunity to have some fun with it and pick something you wouldn't necessarily have as a first name.

Like how I have Cosette for various reasons. I'd never have it as a first name because as pretty as it is, I would hate to have to explain to every person that ever heard it "Yes, like in Les Mis..."

Isabella? Idk it's the first name to come up when I see your pic and I think it goes well with Audrey.

Two syllables in last name. Michelle might be a possibility, don't care for Marie. Jane would get me even more disowned than I already likely will be, for reasons I won't go into here.

Isabella works fine with Audrey, but not my last name.

Any female relatives you would like to honor? We did that with all of my daughter's middle names.

    Sadly, no. :frowning2:

Thanks for reminding me how much I love the name Veronica. Might just consider this one, although maybe is too many vowels?? Otherwise, I like Elise, too.

If we start suggesting horrible names now, will you pick Elise? :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

I'm staying way the hell out of this.

    Good luck.
