I know that taking hormones is a thing, I just don't know what it does exactly XD. Does it matter what my body type already is?

I know google exists, but this is the coolest and nicest site EVER!(*hug*)

Sterilization, loss of libido(desire & erection ability) genital shrinkage, breast and milk development, fat redistribution to more feminine shape(face & body), MPB stopping, thicker and faster growing head hair, top layer of skin thins out becoming sensitive and transparent giving an equal skin tone, augments of future bone growth. Monthly visitor symptoms.

Blood clot % rises, this boost is tripled by smoking, bone density loss(osteoporosis), chance of stroke increases due to blood clot chances.

E won't change bone structure already in place, men have thicker bones

Forgot to mention, slows you metabolism, also E requires over a certain BMI to work. This is why anorexic girls stop getting their periods

    Male to Female Hormone Therapies:

    Estrogen Therapy:
For ten years she is given pretty high dosages, which is usually lowered if she has her testes removed or changes her sex.

(Other hormone therapies include Progestogens, Antiandrogens, and GnRH analogues).

    Effects:
    Breast growth
    Nipple enlargement
    Redistribution of body fat
    Thin the skin
    Infertility
And minor reversible changes changes such as decreased libido and reduced muscle development

    Hormone therapy does not:
    Change the voice
    Impede facial hair growth

    Female to Male Hormone Therapies:

    Testosterone Therapy:

Testosterone has a half life of about 70 minutes in the bloodstream, so one has to constantly be supplied with the hormone. This can be done through injections, patches, creams, gels, pellets inserted under the skin, or orally.

(Other therapies include GnRH agonists and Progestin injections)

    Effects:
    Deeper voice
Growth of facial and body hair
    Potential baldness
    Enlarged clitoris
Possible shrinking and/or softening of breasts
Growth spurt and closure of growth plates if given before the end of puberty
(And other minor reversible changes such as increased libido, redistribution of body fat, no longer menstruating/ovulating, muscle development, acne)

    Got this all from Wikipedia

Yeah... If you really are considering hormone replacement therapy you should really consult an endocrinologist.

Doctors who are also experienced with trans patients will also prescribe hormones upon a gender therapists note/recommendation

Oh yeah! Changes hair texture as well. But laser + electrolysis are usually required unless a girl has very little hair to begin with.

Yeah, my therapist and I discussed the need for laser + electrolysis. Actually, I didn't really understand prior to that conversation the importance of lasering the hair a few times first, so that the follicles become weak and brittle and therefore make a much easier go zapping them with the final stage of electrolysis. Forgot to ask her if E had any contribution to thinning the hair, though, which is why I asked here. Thanks for the affirmative.
