Everywhere I look I get different definitions for what androgyny really is. This could be because there really isn't one definition, but I wanted to hear some other people's opinions.
Is androgynous just dressing in a way that's neither masculine nor feminine? Like, is it an appearance? Or is it actually a gender, like gender neutral?

    Thanks!

    Both...either...take your pick really...

Androgyny as a word means "the combination of masculine and feminine characteristics"

But it's application varies from person to person.

It can be a form of expression (say, dressing in a neutral way), it can be an identity, blending aspects of masculinity and femininity together...

Ah, that clears it up a little bit  I'm still mildly puzzled but I can't expect to instantly get it!
Also, I'm loving the Flanders and Swann in your signature! I didn't know there was anyone else under 50 who enjoyed them!
