To anyone out there from the cisgender to the androgynous, to the FtM or MtF, or anything in between or around or above...whatever...What is the best thing about being transgender?

The question posed is meant to add more cheerfulness.

I think my favorite thing is that we can be so much more accepting.

you can do all the things you wanted to do.

Meeting all the wonderful people here. Cheers to all of you beautiful people.

So please add... best thing by far, is...(open the floor)

That feeling when you get to do something that matches with your true gender (buying new clothes or taking hormones) and feeling yourself get closer to matching up with your true self. While I wish I didn't have to be trans in the first place, it is kind of a cool feeling that non-trans people don't experience
Also meeting cool people through trans stuff (like this website)

Being one of very few guys in the world that can understand patriarchy from the other side. I feel like and undercover agent sometimes

Although I would've liked to have been born male, I see the fact that I was socialised as female to be pretty neat. As mentioned, I understand the struggles in which women have to endure, and understanding patriarchy from a female perspective. I think, too, being trans has made me a lot more self-aware and open minded.

Wider perspective. More accepting. A tough struggle perhaps, but a great reward after.

You learn to appreciate the little things in life. Like shopping for your gender, or being called by your preferred pronouns. Hairy legs, smooth legs, skirts, pants. Mundane things seem awesome in your true gender.

Discovering what truly is masculine / feminine. There's a lot of cool stuff I might have missed out on as a born female. I still love my hot wheels, Legos, and transformers. But maybe that's because I'm a lesbian -.-

Video games I feel are even still lightly stigmatized by females as a male only thing

I know that I am living a genuine and sincere life.

I know that my body and my identity are my own.

    I’ve found community

I get to be myself, and get to be happy.

Get to learn who your real friends are and meet others who are accepting, and have a better understanding of the world and see society for what it is - and decide to ignore it's constructs fully.

    Oh where to begin?

The boosted self esteem? The inflated self confidence? The feeling of smooth skin after shaving? All the cute blouses, skirts, and dresses that my wardrobe has been opened to?

How about the more accepting world view? The new friends that I've met and continue to meet?

The feeling of being myself, finally, after 27 years of looking in the mirror and trying to figure out what the hell I was missing?

Yeah, all of those would/could be my number one answer

I think being trans lets us have a type of understanding of ourselves that other people can never have. Having to think so much about such an important aspect of yourself allows you to realize things that you might not have if you hadn't looked so closely at yourself!

I'm a bit jealous of how transwomen don't became shark bait every month...

Plus, they're totally kick-ass with makeup and fashion.

I'm still learning about makeup and fashion is a lost art to me. I usually just go with what's comfy

I'm the same way. My mom never taught me anything about makeup or fashion, so I'm pretty lazy...

I've gotten compliments on my lackluster makeup skillz

I'm a self taught individual though but at least once a week I have a bio female tell me that my make up looks better than hers....

I like to look good on a daily basis but I don't go too crazy
