And it went really well! I brought my voice from an A# 116.5Hz to a G3 196Hz. In ONE session! So I already have a more gender-ambiguous/feminine voice in me c : just gotta keep practicing c : my voice is so tired right now though one hour of therapy plus one hour of practice sangin in the car. Geez it actually scratches my throat and hurts to talk masculine. Which is a good sign I take hehe c :
I hope you got to record yourself and bring it with you so you can continue to match the pitch and compare it for future reference.
Wow nice, sadly there is no voice therapy or anything around me. So I just kind of do it all myself which kind of sucks. I hate my voice. How often do you go to sessions?
She records it and films it all to make sure there is progress. I have another session thursday then they're on vacation but Ill probably end up going maybe twice a month? If that. My voice is already pretty fem she was actually smiling and was excited at how well I was doing. The voice therapy place for me is an hour away haha I drive all over the state to get what I need. I can tell you though my voice is shot after two hours of therapy haha I can feel it in my throat.
I suppose it isn't a common thing so to get there you would have to drive all over ha. I'm excited for you (and a little bit jealous even!).
That's great Grats. I believe there's more than just pitch - certain ways of speaking associated more with women than men. Have you done any of that during speech therapy?
It was just our first session so I think what we're gonna get down first is pitch. She also taught me to talk from my head and not from my chest and to breathe so my stomach comes up rather than my chest
