I have the impression that a lot of you listen to music to feel better when you feel dysphoric or just blue, so I thought it would be nice to share our favourite "forget-about-all-that-sucks-" songs or artists or albums.

    I start with
    -"All star" by Smash mouth
-"Das rote pferd" by Markus Becker & MaLLorca Cowboys (it's in german, but the text is totally pointless, so i don't think it matters  )
    -"so what" by pink

    "Tragedy+Time" Rise Against

Oddly, Stacy's Mom by Fountains of Wayne makes me feel awesome. Also also also, Blink-182 and basically any Boston will kick start my good mood.

I have a playlist on youtube I call my Dancing Tunes list. I play it when things feel like they suck, and usually dance around my apartment in my underwear. I know I'll add things to it, but currently it features:

Linkin Park - Burn It Down
Half Moon Run - She Wants To Know
    The Black Keys - Sister
    Awolnation - Kill Your Heroes
    USS - Damini
The Heavy - Short Change Hero
Imagine Dragons - On Top Of The World
Of Monsters And Men - Little Talks
Justin Timberlake - Rock Your Body
    Daft Punk - Get Lucky
    Pharrell Williams - Happy
    Paramore - Ain't It Fun
    &
Michael Jackson (with Justin Timberlake) - Love Never Felt So Good

I tend to start dark, like my mood, and work my way up to light.

You have great taste in music, my friend. I'd opt in for some twenty one pilots near the beginning, per say, Trees from their debut album, but other that that, I find nothing wrong with this, which is surprising, considering how nitpicky I am when it comes to music.

That is a fantastic list! I thought of another one that I find picks me up: Frank Turner - Recovery. Even though it's about (or seems to be about) drugs, I find it really connects with me in regards to the dysphoria thing.

That is an amazing choice as well! She's wonderful!

Rihanna, Beyonce/Destiny's Child, Madonna, and Lady Gaga are all guilty pleasures of mine.

That's all I can think of at the moment...

ANOTHER WARNING: I'm manic-depressive, so some music that "lightens me up" may not lighten you up. You can mostly tell from the titles. (eg. "Bleed it Out," "Sweet Sacrifice," "Aneurysm," etc..)
