So I've been trying to figure out a gender-neutral name for myself; something that won't have me cringing over femininity on some days or masculinity on others. My birth name is Brianna, so I was thinking maybe "Bry" or something like that... dropping the "an" sound from "Bryan" makes it sound gender-neutral to me, but then there's the issue of spelling and how to keep it from looking like "bree". Anyone have any suggestions on this?

From your actual name into a gender neutral?

Bryan isn't gender neutral. Definitely male. Bree or Bri sounds more female than male. Definitely look at what Daydreamer said.

Luckily I was born with a gender neutral name.

I think Bry is a good name, and I pronounce it like the beginning of "Bryan" when written that way. You could also spell it Brye.

Your name is a bit hard otherwise :O You could go for something Like Reese? Or Ryan (that's too boyish, though, I think?)

Thanks for the ideas, everybody. I know it's kind of a hard name to work with, but I didn't want to stray too far from it. Still not exactly sure exactly what I'm going to go with, but I think I have it narrowed down now, so it's a bit less overwhelming.
