T and baldness?

    So I was wondering

When a trans guy goes on T, is baldness inevitable? I don't mean slight shifting of the hairline to a more male one, I mean full on pattern baldness.

I don't have MALE baldness in my family. At all. My dad doesn't really even have much of that "male hairline" (I've got his hairline), and my mom's uncle has all his hair and he's old.

There's not a single male member of my family I know of who's balding.

But there is my grandma, who's hair was thinning quite quickly, made worse by improper care and too much hair dye.

So even then, because I'm trans, would testosterone make me bald? That's pretty scary considering my love of long hair

    Thanks

Really what it comes down to is genetics. Some guys do not lose any hair at all, some a small bit of hair, and others lose a ton of hair.

According to what I've seen, I don't have the gene

So I probably won't loose my hair, right?

    Your sock drawer, silly.
You can, but I've heard some transguys take Propecia along with T to prevent hair loss.
