NOt entirely related to gender but...

    Harold and Maude.

I'm not rich and I don't have an overbearing mother, but I find Harold to be the most relatable character I've seen on film. It's the sadness, the listlessness, the frustration and the anger. And it's the way he tries to live again that inspires me. Harold doesn't stop being depressed, he comes back slowly. That's something I can manage. I can come back slowly.

And Maude is pure inspiration. I try to be like Maude. She's gone through a lot and all she does is fight for life, for adventure. She's so free-spirited. I wish I could be like that, to just be able to take life and live it, be in the moment and savor the moment.

Omg yes she did, her songs helped me feel better when i was down. Along with burlesque, it helped me know that even though im not beautiful on the outside i am beautiful in my own way and that i should stay strong and be my own woman.

Yep, thats why im here, i want to help you all be the men and women you deserve to be. Because we need to show people that we are men and women and we can be trans and gender fluid and gay and lesbian and pansexual, we just need to rise up and be couragous and tell all non belivers off

I avoided watching that movie for a long time. While I thought she has a powerful voice, I wasn't convinced Christina could actually act. That, and a lot of the time Cher kinda bugs me.

OMG, I was so wrong! Such a good movie!

Ok, as for me, movies that inspired me when I was very young, I would say The Neverending Story (the power and importance of imagination), The Muppet Movie (imagination again and just the goodness of spirit it has), the original Christopher Reeve Superman (trying to help others, plus he was probably my first crush...such honest eyes)

Other movies that really inspired me...But I'm A Cheerleader (being true to yourself, and that doing that doesn't mean you change who you are deep down), just about any movie that's got Angelina Jolie running around being badass (but I really wanted to look like her character in Foxfire when I was in my teens...just kinda butch and awesome), the Crow (the power of love...I always have and probably always will bawl like a baby at the end).

I'm probably leaving many out, but that's probably plenty...

Video games did. It made me comfortable being female in a fantasy world until I was ready in the real world. Persona 3 and 4 in particular.

Try not to laugh! Shrek 2. It has taught me a lot about identity. Learning to accept myself and learning to be myself without having to feel forced into being something that I am not.
    Thanks Shrek!

YES!! I LOVE the Persona games!! That's definitely one of my favorite game series, that and Onimusha. I even dressed up as Chie at an anime convention this year! XD I love her

I really love Gone with the Wind. One of my favorite movies and books! I always hated Scarlet with a passion though, for having Rhett and never appreciating him til it was too late. Clark Gable was dreamy, and if I had him, I'd NEVER let him go lol
