I am out a little but not to many friends or family. I know I want hrt but I don't want anyone questioning my voice and stuff.
You might have a look here: http://emptyclosets.com/forum/gender-identity-expression/156085-i-just-im-kind-scared.html#4 Voice training might be different from person to person... you might at least train a bit more female intonation... its like a singsang, with ups and downs, not so monotone... if training pitch, never overstrain your voice... (*hug*)
That's what voice training is for... it takes some time... and usually you can only practise for a short time a day. As just said, never overstrain your voice. http://emptyclosets.com/forum/anonymous-gender-identity-expression/146985-need-vocal-tips-mtf.html
Definitely start working on your voice when you're alone. That seems like the major thing HRT does little to nothing about.
This might sound strange but slow down a bit like Kakashi said work on your female voice but also check into therapy if your still in school? check with a trusted administrator or teacher they might know of a therapist
The thing about transition is that it doesn't happen overnight. Start working on what you can now, even before HRT. Voice, clothes, haircut/ style. The road to getting on hormones is a long one, and depending on where you live, some places won't even began hormones until you have been living as your correct gender for a year! So definitely find a therapist/ counselor etc ASAP And depending on age, think about coming out to your parents if you're under 18 and/or still living at home. Best to start easing them into the situation slowly.
