Okay so I've been using the name Max online since about March, and I've gotten pretty attached to it. I feel like it suits me the most out of all my favorite name options. One problem though is that Max is the name of my grandma's old dog and I wonder if that would be weird to use it? I really don't want to use another name but I don't want the rest of my family to find it weird, and I already know my grandma isn't going to accept me

Well, it's not a stereotypical trans man name (Aidan/Hayden/Alex). Anyways, since Max is a fairly common name, I don't think it'll raise any eyebrows. You could also go with "Maxwell" as your full name and have "Max" as your nickname. I do something similar with my birth name, and nobody raises an eyebrow.
