I've recently become certified to teach English as a foreign language and have been looking at countries to go to. I'm interested in East or Southeast Asian countries. I've done some research online, but was wondering what countries would be the safest/most accenting of a female-bodied transperson (I am very obviously female bodied). Does anybody have experiences?

Tailand was on my list, as well as Japan, Philippines, Indonesia and South Korea. I've been to Japan before, and would like to go back (being foreign trumps being gender variant there), but am interested in seeing other countries as well. I'm very interested in language/learning other languages.

One of the problems I've had is understanding the acceptance level/climate. What countries would be safe and what countries would I get harassed in? It's very heard to gauge from online articles.
