And apparently it's working fine and the subject is sexually active now.

And that made me think: I wonder if this can be used to benefit FtM transgenders. Like... "We're sorry, but your son was subjected to a fatal car accident. We've done all we can, but I'm afraid there's nothing more we can do BUT his penis can still help somebody else."

That begs the question, would you FtM transgenders out there consider it if 'twere a possibility?

If it could be done successfully... Hell yes.

Hm.. I think there would be a long hospital stay and risk of rejection so..

Probably not. But, it's great for those who add dissatisfied with current bottom surgery.

Is he fertile? If so, presumably the testes still produce sperm with the donor's DNA. That would be kind of weird to think about - that if I died someone could conceive my biological child with my penis.

In retrospect, it might not have been my best idea to use the term "pull off" in the title.

I'll admit I laughed. It's more catchy than 'perform.' In this case, people are more likely to remember 'pull-off.' I'm almost inclined to believe you did that on purpose.

It would be so cool if it would work for trans guys, but I've heard people say it's very unlikely to work or happen for us. Maybe, but if they widely improve on options for us, then I'm down for that.

    Lol

I'm seriously distrusting of modern medicine and this is way too new in my opinion.

I read it today somewhere else, I think it happened in south africa, right?

Sure I'd go for it, as long as we can't grow our own... It seems good to me.

Hopefully we'll see more transplants for everyone soon. You could donate your stuff after SRS, just like you donate your organs after death.

I'd gladly donate mine if the reverse could be done for me at the same time...

You know, things are looking more and more like that may eventually be possible. Maybe even swaps of entire reproductive systems. Wouldn't be surprised to see that not only accomplished, but possibly readily available in 50 years. Possibly even with your own tissue. Ovaries and testes wouldn't really have much rejection risk, because they are immunologically supressed sites.....

It's a pipe dream, but swapping reproductive organs would be rad as hell. It would be even cooler to reverse their function (testes to ovaries and so on), but that's just me being a dreamer.

Well, this is looking to be very promising. Too bad probably will come later than I can wait. At least I hope the next generation can be able to do this and live their lives much truer to themselves.

I can't speak for any transmale, but if it were me I'd be weirded out having someone else's junk. Just wouldn't be right.

Though I'd go for it if the procedure ever becomes safe enough/possible, I admit it's weird to think about how your newly transplanted junk was once probably "vigorously" handled by its original owner >>

When I read this I imagined a tidy row of flower pots with little penises growing in them...Actually, that would pretty nice.

That sounds like a friggin nightmare for some people...

On topic though...I wonder how the sensation would be for the people who receive the transplant. Would it feel like someone who suffer from phantom pain getting their limbs back?

Just imagine you are using it for some determined purpose, and suddenly it looks at you like Microsoft's paperclip and asks It seems you want to ... You seem to be doing it wrong, should I explain you a better way?

... Want to get to know your lady neighbour better, but are too shy to start a conversation? Don't worry! We have the perfect ice breaker for you! Just hang them on the balcony, and the ladies will finally start knocking at your door (Results may vary depending on temperature and species)

Hmmmm....I don't know if I'd go for a transplant. Sure I'd love to have the real thing and current SRS doesn't really excite me, but all I can think of about having a penis donation is YOU DON'T KNOW WHERE IT'S BEEN!
