I'm heading to a symposium this weekend, and the hotel I'm staying at has a pool. I don't want to change into boy mode just to go swimming, or relax in the hot tub. Any suggestions on styles to disguise my relative lack of curves, and my bulge? If it's not a one piece, I suppose I can take a razor to my tummy...

I'm not sure about the curves, but for a bulge you could try a swim skirt. It would help hide anything that would stick out.

I was kinda thinking of that, but I thought those were usually seperates, and, well, not much naturally up top right now...

A swim skirt will end up being your best bet, I have a couple bikini's myself, and it is hard to hide the bulge. It gets on my nerves whenever I present female. :bang:

A good thing for the top would be a bikini, or even tankini, with a lot of ruffles around the bust. This draws attention away from the size because the ruffles don't lay flat. It would probably just make you look like a fairly flat chested girl.

A one piece bathing suit would probably be worse as they usually accent curves, and it is easy to tell if they aren't there.

Can't you tuck your downstairs stuff? Just tape it between your legs, and stuff. Would the water cause the tape to become unstuck? Maybe it would work...

I used to have a one-piece swimsuit with a skirt. They certainly exist.

Have you tried tucking? That could help.

I may try tucking and taping, but I'm still recovering from forgetting to take bodyglide with me last weekend to the games, and don't want skin ripped off/blisters created like happened when I tried creating some cleavage with athletic tape a couple weeks ago.

Exactly. Last weekend, I was wrapped with approx 8 yards of wool, first day was about 70, second day was about 75. Still have a piper's tan/burn from my Glengarry.

I would recommend the ruffled bikini top and either swim shorts or skirts. I used to wear swim shorts but they were pretty short. If you got some that are a bit longer (say mid thigh) then you might not have to worry about tucking.

There are places online that sell swimsuits for trans women but they seem to be rather expensive.

I agree a swimskirt would work well, and certain patterned swimsuits might suggest curves as well.

OK, going to look tomorrow after work. And, online, this weekend, expensive, and my budget don't really mix well.

I agree that a swim skirt is probably your best bet. You can get them as separates, or as a one piece. A lot of swim suit tops have padding nowadays (which I would know because it's a problem for me to find any WITHOUT padding- my chest is too big already) and a ruffled style might help

I like swim shorts, myself. You can get them in pretty much any place that sells swim suits. The plus side is, if you get black shorts, you can get any number of cute, colorful bikini tops and they'll all match! ^_^
