S.A.G.E. Test

I took it a while ago and got FTM, don't remember the exact results. Some of the questions rely too much on stereotypes, but it's a lot better than some of the other trans tests out there I suppose. Although judging from other results that I've seen, it seems pretty quick to tell people they're trans even if they just are a bit gender nonconforming. It's not a bad test though, and it can be good to help people get an idea of their feelings.

I dislike the way the results are presented because they can create insecurities in someone who takes the test seriously. Many of the questions are also overly specific with answers that don't cover every possible option. Outside of these two points, the test was fairly interesting..

 

I took this before many times and it either said I was FTM who is seriously consider or in need of transitioning or I was androgynous for some reason.

It can reveal some interesting stuff, and it can also reveal some oddities of the test itself. When dealing with AMAB individuals, it still relies on Ray Blanchard's ideas on transsexualism, which aren't very helpful to the trans community (since your orientation suddenly determines if you are mentally ill or not). It also managed to claim that I was both asexual, and not. Go figure. It did say I was androgynous in mindset, which I'd agree with.

But it can give you something to think about. At least as a way to direct your own introspection.

It still annoys me how stereotypical some of the questions are, but as far as online gender tests typically go it's alright.

This test is dumb. But in my case pretty accurate lol. I identify as male but I do feel pretty androgynous in many ways.

I agree with the overall consensus. I appear as a straight male, no doubt about it. And i'm not "in transition" although I've started dabbling in "male" makeup and, have long hair, etc with the long term goal being seemingly more feminine.
