I want to mention something to my parents of me being trans, but I don't want to just throw it out there and answer a ton of questions yet, but I don't want to keep this in anymore either.
I was thinking of asking them what they thought of the LGBT community, but I know they have nothing against it. I don't know how I could mention it subtly without getting bombarded with questions (yet).

Maybe, just because it's out there and a popular topic, talk some about Caitlyn Jenner? Gauge their feelings on her story? That's what a friend did before coming out to her mother. She also kept sharing positive stories about trans people coming out with her, getting progressively more poignant with it. Eventually her mother came to her with an "it's okay to tell me if you're trans" which began the conversation.

    Good luck!
