I know the punk band Against Me! has a trans female singer, in fact, one of their albums is called, "Transgender Dysphoria Blues" but I personally don't care for their music myself.
It doesn't explicitly say it's a trans anthem, but I always saw "I'm Still Here" by the Goo Goo Dolls as one. Here's some more than I can think of that have trans themes or you can read them as such: Against Me! - FUCKMYLIFE666 Peter Gabriel / Arcade Fire - My Body is a Cage Mina Caputo - Got Monsters Antony and the Johnsons - For Today I'm a Boy Manic Street Preachers - Born a Girl Jekyll and Hyde: The Musical - This is the Moment 3 Doors Down - Let Me Be Myself Shinedown - Second Chance Mulan - Reflection
Been waiting for a thread like this. I have a lot of songs that I listen to when I think about my gender. And once I an on a computer I will post my playlist
Reflection, yes. The Christina Aguilera version of the Mulan song. It always makes me think of myself being trans or other people being gay or just coming out in general. I listen to it way more than is probably healthy. Born This Way by Lady Gaga is also one. I don't think I've really thought about song that express myself as trans. But I have a lot of songs that express my life and emotions in general and many of those emotions are due to being closeted. MCR's I'm Not Okay... that's been played a lot. Has just finished actually. I'm gonna go through my songs now...
