I had a talk with my dad today. He still disagrees with me, but it sounds like he's much more open than I ever expected. He said he's been doing a lot of reading to understand what it must feel like. He also said that he won't condemn me for my choices. At this point, it seems the only real obstacle is his theological views. While his opinion hasn't changed, he told me he's had to question whether the Bible really says what he thinks it says. I'll have to wait to see how he deals with that. He still isn't accepting. All the same, I never thought he'd be this willing to reevaluate his views. I hope this keeps up.
