Ever heard of an AFAB person who wishes/identifies as a transgirl?

That...doesn't make any sense to me. So the individual is AFAB but wishes she is AMAB even though she identifies as a woman?

I am suspecting they are non-binary but just haven't figured out how to communicate that. Still need to know more about the person though.

I knew someone who identified as an AFAB trans woman for a while, interestingly enough. As far as I'm aware, they just identify as nonbinary these days. But yeah, can confirm that there's at least one person out there who described themself as such at one point in time.

I've seen that stuff on Tumblr (of course :rolle:slight_smile:. If I remember correctly, they called it "circumgender"...doesn't really make any sense to me.

That doesn't really make sense because a trans woman is, by definition, someone who is dmab but identifies as a woman. It's totally possible and valid to want to transition physically but feel comfortable being a woman socially, but that doesn't make you a trans woman. I don't know exactly what label would be most accurate.

Ah okay thank you all for the responses !!! I am the person who has those feelings by the way but I am veryyyy in the closet about it and I haven't told any person besides my partners in fear of being ridiculed and such. Thanks again! If anyone wants to message me to talk to me about please feel free!

So like the transsexual version of a faux queen? I don't think I've heard of it, but if that's what you feel inside, go for it! I would be interested in seeing how that works out...

What. That makes no sense. Really. A trans woman identifies as a woman, if you're afab society already views you as a woman. What's the point of wanting to be amab and identify as a woman? What?

I use to say that I felt like man who transition to woman only to realize when it was to late to turn back that I was actually just a man. I was 16 then and it took till I was 22 to realize that I had been in denial and was actually a feminine trans man.

I feel like it's pointless to transition because I am never gonna be able to present how I actually want to, like I will never be the way I truely feel inside. I'm sorry this is so confusing ah I feel bad about bring it up now I'm sorry!! /)(\

Look at me. I'm 34. Do I look that bad? You're 19. Live your life as you want.

I may not be the most ideal feminine beauty but trust me... there are wayyyyy less feminine looking cis women out there.

    Have faith in yourself.

    Exactly as Kasey says
Just be you. You don't have to transition if you don't want to but at least you know the option is there if you should want to. You have your whole life a head of you so just take it one day and one step at a time

I find this interesting. Trans girl does generally imply that you were born male, because you are transitioning to be a girl. But you can absolutely identify as whatever you want, whatever you feel and resonate with. I would definately look into some non binary gender identities like genderqueer, agender, bigender, etc. The best of luck, whoever you may really be, you will know.

Thank you very much it's very validating to hear things like this  and yeah I do feel sort of agender sometimes. I feel like my base gender is male (or like my BODY should be male) but the rest is veryyyy feminine if that makes sense?
