My lovely people who are in the process of transitioning (or haven't transitioned yet)...

This applies to physical and social transition (and possibly legal).

    1) What are your goals?
    2) When do you wish to meet these goals?

    Basically here's mine:

    2015
Buy a binder before the year ends.

    2016
Cut my hair around January - February-ish.
Come out to my family (immediate & extended) anywhere between March - June
Find a gender therapist before the year ends

    2017
By mid-2017 I'm hoping to decide whether or not to start HRT. Then start HRT if I ultimately decide to.

    2018+
I'm hoping to get top surgery in 2018 (possibly late 2017, but that probably won't happen), and if I can't get it in 2018, I am hoping to get it before 2020.

So yep. My four-year goal plan. What are your's?

    2016
Buy a binder, possibly also a packer once I move out/move away
Re-cut my hair to a more masculine style, also once I move away from here

    2017 onwards
Probably come out to friends/people around me
Find a gender therapist, if I'm ready to at the time

I'm pondering right now about top surgery and HRT, but that's way down the line. We'll see how it goes.

    Before the year ends -
Come out to my older brother.

    January 2016 -
Come out to my parents. It is my only New Year's resolution.

*wait through months of probable hell*

    August 15th, 2016 (aka the day I turn 18)-
Schedule an appointment at a gender clinic.
Come out publicly, perhaps via social media.
*Order a binder and packer online.
*Go to the mall and purchase men's clothing. Perhaps also get a haircut.

*I will be saving money for these, and my HRT, during the months prior by working a job.

2016: Get my name changed, and possibly my gender marker if I can work with some lawyers at the Mazzoni center. If I can do this before my one year on T mark in February, then I'd be thrilled.

Before 2020: Get top surgery and (hopefully) a hysto. I'm also thinking about coming out to my grandma on my dad's side of the family (whom I haven't seen since I was four or so), but we'll see.

20??: Get bottom surgery; but what I want I still don't know for sure and I'm waiting for things to advance before I fully think about investing. I said elsewhere that if the pros of meta and phallo could merge, I'd be sold.

By the end of 2015, I will have at least come out to my parents. My dad if not my mum, but hopefully both. Actually intend on coming out to my dad next week, but we'll see.

2016: I'm already in the process of seeing a therapist and being referred to a gender clinic, and the clinic has a waiting list of about a year, but fingers crossed by the end of the year I'll be there and on track for T. I don't want it to take the year, but I've accepted my fate. In the mean time, I'll probably get a binder.

2017: T. And the build up to top surgery. Hopefully I'll get them both in the same year, but if not 2018 will be my year for the second one.

This is my hope, of course. My biggest hope being that it can be done by the time I'm 25/before I'm 26 (I'm six weeks away from turning 22), so by the end of 2019. I'm not really looking into bottom surgery unless it gets better, so besides being prescribed T and getting top surgery there's not really much I want. So three/four years (unless we can cut down the wait time for the gender clinic) sounds pretty doable.

    Late 2015:
Buy more men's clothes and fully come out to my therapist

    2016:
Somehow get my family to be less transphobic...somehow

Fall of 2017 (when I start college): (or maybe after college...idk)
Talk to my current therapist and see what people she recommends for me to see in order to get on t.

Whenever I become a successful adult who's no longer paying college bills and who can afford it:
    Potentially get top surgery

My life is pretty much set till i'm 20 since my country requires all 18 year old 'males' to go to the army for 2 years.

By 2018 i want to create a full female look for myself

    2020
Get back from army, grow my hair out, find a job and start saving for the future. Go to make up school aside from uni.

By 2025 i want to start transitioning and move to somewhere where trans ppl, or lgbt are atleast a little bit more accepted than my current country.

If till that point everything goes as planned then i want to start the surgeries in 2027 (i'll be 27 by then)

I presonally want the entire package, SRS, FFS, voice if neccesary, and boobs...if neccesary

2015: register at the GP and start talking about trans things... And other things.
After that, preferably this year, fully come out at work.
    Finish coming out to friends.
2016 come out on Facebook/to the rest of family.
Hopefully be on my way to getting meds.
Legally change my name and gender.
Then I've heard you have to live as female for 3 years before you can be 'allowed' the surgery.. Or something.

Throughout all this... Saving money! And occasionally buying pretty things.

Those are outdated. You most likely need a note from a gender therapist. You can probably see these things in the WPATH Standards of Care V7 (2011)

By the end of this month: come out to my dad. Within 2 weeks of that, my brother.

    2016:
Come out to the rest of family, then people in my more male-dominated hobbies after this winter's holidays
Transition on the job OR start a new job in my true gender
    Start HRT
Updated DL & Passport before my current one expires in October 2016

Re-looking at these, it's nice to know everybody here has goals that happen before 2030. May this next decade and a half be wonderful!

Hard to say, since I don't even have all my goals laid out. But the goals I definitely have are to talk to a gender therapist, start presenting as female, and come out publicly, all within the next three years.

That's 2017. It feels like such a short time when I look at it like this. It's actually kind of exciting.

Well i theoretically could be out 100% in just under a year. Probably more like a year and a half. But under 10 months I won't be in jeopardy of losing my job coming out.

Soon after I'd like to have had facial feminization. Breasts can come later.
