I am a genderqueer male assigned at birth. I am wanting to slowly adjust my appearance to accommodate my gender identity. I was thinking about starting with my hair. Any advice on gender neutral/fem leaning hairstyles to try? If you could have pictures that would be great!

I think for guys, a lot of difference can be in styling. There are loads of guys around my area at the moment who have pretty long hair, down to their shoulders or past, but it also hasn't been brushed in like 3 weeks (probably) so it doesn't look at all feminine. With product/brushing/styling though, it would probably look more androgynous. How long is your hair now? Do you have short, mid, or long length?

My hair is about medium length right now. I do nothing fancy to it right now. I have tried to grow it out before but my mom won't let me.

Ah, okay. I think going to a hairdresser and asking for specifically a more feminine cut then would probably be best. Shorter on the sides and longer on top can be pretty feminizing...

I'm just going to bombard you with a few links :stuck_out_tongue_closed_eyes:

If you're not big on styling, it's probably best to choose a cut that works closet with your hair texture now, straight, curly, thin or thick. There's also a heap of tutorials on youtube for how to style, that's how one of my old hairdressers used to keep up with all the new styles and tricks, actually! So they can be super helpful too.

I'm an androgynous/tomboyish female and I usually ask for this kind of thing:

It can look more feminine or masculine, depending on whether or not I decide to do anything with it.
