They personally, though I'd accept any gender neutral pronouns. I've never met anyone IRL. Who uses other gender neutral pronouns though I'd obviously respect their wishes if someone requested them.
Well, they/them is pretty cool, tho it uses "are" which makes me uncomfortable (eg: Oh yes, they are my best friend. But, there is one pronoun I love E/em/eirs It comes like super natural and it's super gender neutral. It's like you just take away the gender from the pronouns and you've got a neutral pronoun! also, it's used since 1991, and it's known worldwide. The spivak pronouns! I love them! I also use them because it's basically non-gendered pronoun, and is perfect for agender people. But I can understand when non binary, not agender people chose just giving that gender part another name ---------- Post added 8th Dec 2015 at 10:34 PM ---------- Oh but also you can see it as taking the female/male part to your pronoun. Also I love it because when somebody tells you you pronoun doesn't exist/stop making up pronouns, you can say well, in fact, I didn't made up this pronoun. It's part of the pronoun chart known as spivak and used since 1991. and it's like "turn down for what" haha lol
I know one person irl who goes by ey/em/eirs (it's like "they/them" but minus the 'th' part). Otherwise I've only heard of singular they/them being used.
How about hish? I think that's been proposed in a lot of Jewish bible translations, since they don't believe God has a gender, but it would still work in real life!
I use the singular they. Well, working on it. I'm not that out about my pronouns! (I quite like ey (or e)/em/eir and ze/zer pronouns, but not for myself. But as practical pronouns that aren't 'they' I think they're some of the better ones!)
Same here! I also use them/their. But I love it when people call me ey/em!! Oh and yes, I use ey now. I've read a bit about the spivak pronouns, and as it goes to say, The original ey has been argued to be preferable to e, because the latter would be pronounced the same as he in those contexts where he, him, his loses its h sound. and I think they're right!
I like they/them pronouns best (I like he/him pronouns primarily, but while I get used to having people use those for me, I prefer a mix of gendered and neutral pronouns, so a lot of people use they/them pronouns for me). Ze/hir is another that I think is practical, but I don't personally like those pronouns for myself.
Y'now, the pronoun hir has a problem: it was used by women in older ages. So I don't thing is that gender neutral, TBH
That's interesting, and I didn't know that. Honestly though, I feel like hardly anyone knows that, so I doubt it would really be a problem. It's neutral because our society doesn't currently have gendered associations for it, other than the few who happen to know its older use.
I quite like ne/nem/nir especially as I love the letter N. However I would probably use they/them because people are more likely to use something that they already know as opposed to something they've never heard of.
