    I'm transgender ftm, my birth name is pretty gender neutral so I don't think I'll be changing my name legally. However, I would like to develop a more masculine nickname that I can go by as well. Something like "Thatcher" or "Chandler" (It doesn't have to end in "er", those are just the only ones I can think of.) I'd like it to sound unique enough that I can call it a nickname, especially to my parents. Any input would be awesome!

    My birth name starts with a "T" if you need that info, personally I don't care if it's similar or not. :grin:

    Hello,

    Just my thoughts;

    Thatcher might remind UK people of the 1970s Prime Minister

    Chandler is unisex but feminine leaning, used and popularized by Chandler Bing, and also Chandler Buffay [both on FRIENDS]

    Some I thought of;

    Titan
    Xavier
    Xander/Zander
    Jovie [as in the 80s singer Bon Jovie]

    Thatcher definitely makes me think of Margaret Thatcher, the controversial Prime Minister. Chandler is pretty cool.

    Fletcher (sounds a bit like Thatcher)
    Truman
    Tucker
    Stanton
    Zephyr
    Hawk

    I agree with Thatcher and on Fletcher, he was the main character in a 1970s TV programme called Porridge played by Ronnie Barker. It's a really good programme actually but anyway, back to my point; Fletcher was called Fletch for short.

    That's why I liked Thatcher - Thatch for short sounds really good today. I live in Canada so I don't think the political aspect will be a problem but Flecher is also nice :3 I'm going to keep looking for a while though - can't jump the gun!
