I found on youtube this really effective way to make it look like you have short hair and figured I might as well share it on here since I'm sure there are other people with this problem. SO.
What you do it make a ponytail, how high on your head depends on how long your hair is, but the end of the ponytail should reach about your eyes. Then use bobby pins to secure it- add them near your forehead. Put a beanie over the top (carefully or the pins will fall out) and tah dah! Short hair! You can put it in different styles, my personal fave involves pressing the end of the ponytail against the beanie rim so it forms a sort of floppy quiff but you can basically do anything (I'm sure hairspray would be useful here but I don't have any).
Hope this helped some people haha!

Thanks for sharing! I used to do that before I got a haircut, and it worked great so I can vouch for this.

That's really clever. I would've loved that before I cut my hair.

I tried this before I cut my hair short. I never got it to look right and it looked terrible. But then again, my hair had't been cut in 4 or 5 years so the ends looked terrible.
