I was just thinking about the possibility of adopting when I was ready (when I am older, have a stable job, have a partner, and me and all others who may be involved are ready, and most importantly when I can guarantee a stable environment and future for a child). So, can a trans girl like me adopt? If I were to adopt (say ten years from now), would I be able to adopt an older child? Adoption may be the only option for me in the future, plus I'd want to give foster children the chance to grow up with a loving family. To be honest, I'd love a foster child the same. Will I get hassled if I try? Will there still be LGBT issues with adopting, say ten years from now?
