Reasons Why I’m Satisfied with Male Life

    1. I can act as assertive/confident as I want to
    2. I can walk freely without being catcalled/treated like an object
    3. I have a much lower chance of being raped/sexually assaulted
    4. I don’t have to have a period every month/fear pregnancy
    5. I can be as dominant as I want to
    6. I don’t have to usually worry about appearance/maintenance
    7. I like being naturally strong
    8. I don’t have to be judged so frequently/feel self-conscious
    9. I can often be as adventurous/risk-taking as I want to
    10. I can have a “rock star” don’t care mentality

Reasons Why I’m Unsatisfied with Male Life

    1. I don’t get to genuinely wear dresses, skirts, and ladies clothing in public/look as pretty as I want to
    2. I don’t normally get to express my feelings/sensitivity as deeply to others
    3. I don’t get to display overly feminine behavior/elegance
    4. I can’t be as submissive as I’d like
    5. I don’t want any facial hair
    6. I don’t like having to always be expected to be more assertive in dating
    7. I don’t like being socially judged based on my work profession
    8. I don’t like wearing suits/ties, dress shirts- almost ever
    9. I don’t like the “muscular/macho man” stereotype (beards, muscles, etc.)
    10. I don’t like always having to ‘prove my masculinity’

To me It just sounds like you don't like the gender roles society has created. Perfectly understandable

It's, for the most part, examples of stereotypes and ideologies that the society imposes to us, it's just necessary to learn not to limit ourselves to the mold of the society ^^

I fully agree. However, one can't help the gender roles and societal roles, for the most part. It's not escapable. There is "flexibility" (I can be somewhat submissive, and "somewhat" feminine- but for the most part, I really can't...).

As I am transitioning from male to female, I find it sometimes disheartening that I will lose the benefits of being male. However, there are benefits of not being male, as you have said, and nobody says that women can't be assertive, dominant, and strong. Plus, when I pass as a woman, I get to feel the joy of not having periods, as everyone expects me to have.

    Optimism is still real.

Interesting reasons, however like above posters have said those are mostly gender role stereotypes. You don't have to oblige them. I'm female but I feel like I understand/apply the things in your satisfied list. I just don't care what other people think.
