S.A.G.E. Test?

I took it before, it always gives me male brain, androgynous overall and androgynous socialising. I ALWAYS get male brain in that kind of tests, I've no idea. Buuuut... yes, I can sense it in daily life, I relate to men much better. Not to roles, to people.

From what I recall the last time I took it some of the questions attributed certain activities with one gender or the other, usually in stereotypical ways (as I recall). So I wouldn't take the results as gospel.

 

There's a few old threads on this you can search for if you are interested in the results. I think mine's been posted to two different threads by now.

It's not a bad starting point for a conversation, but the problem I have with it is that it is still built up on fairly old concepts around transgender and transsexual individuals. It has stuff dating back to the 80s and still uses Blanchard's psudeoscience as part of the classification.

So I wouldn't lean on it to reveal any profound truth. It's not going to really do that. But an unexpected result may make you think about yourself differently, and spur you to dig out a profound truth on your own.

 

I remember taking this years ago but I can't remember the results which is a shame as although the test shouldn't be taken too seriously, it would be somewhat interesting to compare my results. Also, I find the image questions which require you to choose anj image often don't work anymore, so I need to choose an answer at random.

And this test tells me I'm asexual! Buuuulllllshiiiit.
And it tells me I'm a crossdresser. I don't crossdress. Men's clothing just looks cool but... not in order to look like a man... it's cool, end of story.

Yeah, aside from the fact that now I cannot make the test work in my browsers... the above post reminds me I also got labelled as a crossdresses a while ago. This was before I accepted my identity, though, so I would actually like to see if the test continues to be inaccurate, or that maybe the result changes - just for fun.

If anyone knows how to make the images appear without crashing the test, please let me know.

 

Have you tried clicking "back" in the browser? Or opening in a new tab/window?

 

yeah, I also tried Chrome, Vivaldi, Opera, and Edge... and I don't plan on installing firefox just to see if the test works. I remember having the same problems a year ago or so, but I just don't know how I got around it.

I tried all my browsers as well, ended up skipping all the image questions since they were broken, and the measurement questions since I don't care to get a ruler out.

I'd be interested to know what the number range is, it seems really common to get 'overall androgynous'.

I got that one recently, when I was unsuccessfuly trying to pass. I always get the "since young" part, I'm not sure why. As if little girls couldn't like to run, yell and climb trees... That's sexist. (side note: I'm not quick to point out sexism and often come across as sexist)

Mmm... they didn't take into account that someone may enjoy tinkering as a hobby... I do, and choosing between "yeah real men!" and "it needs to be done", I was at a loss. I have always liked that kind of stuff. That one they got wrong too.

And I use Firefox.

Most questions are stupid and stereotypical (those that later make up for socialising and brain), but it's just psychological test techinique: you ask lots of stupid questions to distract the reader and then ask the real question and repeat it throughout over and over again. I think here the real questions were
-who you feel you are on the inside
-how distressed you are about it
-how do you feel about being "mistaken" for the opposite sex
-how do you feel about hormones and surgeries
-have you changed your appearance to reassemble the opposite sex more
-how do you feel about being a man or a woman
and probably a couple more like these.

 

It said I'm androgynous, don't really know what's that.
And also mtf trans in doubt of transitioning which is a bit spot on

When I took it 2 years ago it said normal doubts about gender identity and FtM crossdresser so it's been kinda evolving.
