I'm 13 and barely into puberty. So, any thoughts on when to transition? Now? I kinda want to start before puberty does its damage on me, and I'm not sure how long I can wait. Tips?
Are your parents supportive of you being trans? If they are, maybe they can help you get the ball rolling.
You won't be able to take hormones or get surgery at your age, but you can come out, transition socially, and even go on hormone blockers so puberty won't continue. The first step is making sure your parents are on board (if you haven't come out to them, you'll need to do that) and letting them know what steps you want to take.
There's a really great PBS documentary called "Growing Up Trans" that I think you could watch. It might be a lot to take in, so don't feel like you have to watch the whole thing in one sitting but it may be helpful.
