I just ordered a GC2B binder! Justified it as I'm prepping for cosplays for the fall. Cosplay, crossplay, etc, has been a favorite way to play around with gender identity, gender presentation, etc. So excited to start up another round! Maybe this one: If you could be or dress up as a certain character, or a variation of a character, who would you want?
I've never done much cosplay, but for the Armagedon Expo (equivalent of comic con I guess) I dressed up as No Face from spirited away. It was really good and I got lots of people taking their pictures with me :eusa_danc. Next year I'm going to try and go as Radagast the Brown from LOTR. He's so cool :3
That's so cool! Have fun! I have LONG wanted to do this, too. I have a massive list of characters. The newest addition is Rey from The Force Awakens, but Josie from Josie and the Pussycats is one, Ripley from Alien, Soifon from the anime/manga Bleach, Batgirl, Wonder Woman, Takako Chigusa from the movie Battle Royale. Wow, I could just go on and on. Keep us updated on your cosplay adventures, please!
I know a lil bit about cosplay. Just sayin. In game photo of Quistis Trepe from Final fantasy 8 for reference.
This week I have been working on cosplay of Izabel from Saga. Venturing into the world of body paint, and going to sew pink tracks onto a slouchy beanie. Love this (lesbian) character.
That is an awesome Quistis cosplay. The thing with cosplay I have noticed an feel. As long as you try and play the character faithfully, gender don't always matter.
I'm kind of acting as a big-brother sort of mentor to a young trans guy, and one of the thing we've bonded over is that we both do the same cosplays as Luke Skywalker and Link.
Cosplay is such an good way to experiment with your gender *.* and I also got my parents to buy me a binder because I told them it was for cosplay :eusa_danc. My favourite cosplays are Armin form Attack on Titan, Thranduil from the Hobbit and Prussia from Hetalia ^^.
